Kiss, Marry, Kill!!

...

When I met her, I was dazed,

Not because I hadn’t seen such beauty before,

But the way she wore hers?

It was so natural, it made me happy,

So I kissed her,

I thought she was the one,

I just wanted her to be.

When we started dating, I was elated,

She was younger than me,

The innocence of her smoky eyes, evoking my deeply entrenched desires,

Like the beaches in ‘Anse Source d’Argent’,

Her hot summer body was alluring, I liked her,

Her grace filled my heart with warmth,

She said I was better than her,

The man she needed,

So I wanted to marry her,

I thought she was the one,

She had me exactly where she wanted.

The honeymoon period ended, I was devastated,

Here came trouble, the danger beckoning,

Her attitude sickening,

I asked her for a small favor once; she retorted

‘Am I your wife?’ A Queen’s sting,

My honey that came with baggage;

The turmoil of dating a modern woman,

One christened with entitlement, filled with delusion,

For her; she deserves as she is, no sense and introspection,

She asked for a break-up,

So I went for the kill,

She wasn’t the one,

That was not the lady I had wanted.
