Dear Son, Out there is not how it used to be, the world is run by crazy men and women alike.

Folk that will step on your toes and they’ll say you should have stayed out of the way.

Belligerent fools ready to sabotage any step you take.

Son, life is for the brave, and I’ll be there to show you just that.

And if you don’t listen, I hope you take the path I took.

Go to places that will let you self-discover and build your mental fortitude.

Occasionally, you will throw fists and fits if things don’t go your way.

Eventually, you will make peace with the cruelty served, so take your plate early.

It will be the antidote you think you’ll never need, but it will come in handy.

Women

Dear son, you will meet many women in your life time, both genuine and manipulative.

But the one that stands out? You will not like her at first, but you will love her later.

She will not be what you had envisioned, but she will help you fulfil your vision.

Not even a glance the first time you meet her, but when you do, you will glance at her soul and you will be at peace for a minute.

The imperfections will not describe how perfectly of a fit she will be.

How could she bring joy, when all you have ever known is chaos.

A wonder at best

Family

Dear Son, family is all you have, the ones you are tied to by blood and the ones you create along the way.

What you start, and call yours, dedicate time and attention to it.

It might be burdening sometime, but it will be worth it. Look for ways to keep up with all folk.

The margins of error that you will do something stupid and they will forgive you are high, so water those gardens.

Show up when you can.

Be gracious in your judgement towards their errors, as they yours.

Call the misdemeanors to order and let peace reign.

They are the greatest gift from the universe.

Self Fulfilment

Self is riveting, impulsive, and so you must bring calmness and composure through affirmative action.

You must learn to show up every day, progress is invisible. Son, one day, you will look around you and realize you have everything you worked and prayed for.

Time is a friend if you show up, to be a man is to be first responsible of self before you take on others.

Embrace the failures, the pain, the lessons are what add layers to your character.

The actions and the path are what add the light in your eyes, and the passion in your tone.

The emotion of the process is what people listen to, not the speech itself.

Be firm in your resolve, it will be okay son!
